Geoffrey Roy Lutz earned his Juris Doctor degree Cum Laude from the University of Florida's Levin College of Law in 2005. He received his B.A. degree from Yale University, where he was also a varsity swimmer.

He is admitted to the Florida State Bar and is also admitted to practice in the Federal Northern District Court of Florida as well as the Federal Middle District Court of Florida.
